Everyone loves portable apps. What’s not to love? You stick them in a USB drive, plug it in any computer and you’re good to go. No installation necessary. Just plug your USB in and you’ve got all your applications ready for use.
While there are various portable app suites, we’ll talk about just one for now. We’ll cover the others in a separate post.
Lupo PenSuite is a free collection of portable apps for anyone who likes to bring their favorite programs wherever they go. The suite boasts of over 200 apps and games included out of the box. The apps are broken down into different categories like Internet which contain Firefox and Thunderbird, Security which has CCleaner and TrueCrypt, Multimedia which has VideoLan and Audacity, and a lot more. There are lots of apps in each category. We just didn’t mention every single one.

If the amount of apps and games included somehow isn’t enough for you, you can download more apps and games from their site. There are 2000 apps and games you can add to the suite.
Lupo PenSuite requires at least a 512MB USB stick. There are three versions; the full version which comes with everything, the lite version which includes only the most essential tools, and the zero version which is only the open source launcher for those who want to create their own suite.
The suite runs on Windows XP and Vista.
