Organizing your music collection isn’t as fun as it sounds when you think of how many ID3 tags you’ll need to edit. While it’s true that Winamp comes with a built-in tag editor and album cover downloader, editing your mp3s would go much faster if you had a separate application for the job.
This is where MP3tag comes in. MP3tag is a free tag editor for Windows that supports most of the major audio file types such as .aac, .flac, .mp3, .ape, .mp4/m4a/m4b, .mpc, .ogg, .ofr, .ofs, .tak, .spx, .tta, .wma, and .wv files.

The program can create and manage playlists automatically while you’re editing your music. You have the option of generating lists of your collection in HTML, RTF, and CSV.
Aside from the batch tag editing feature, MP3tag also imports info from Amazon, discogs, freedb, MusicBrainz, etc. The app also lets you download cover art for your music.
It’s a 2.0MB freeware tag editor with a lot of features. Now that’s a good deal.
MP3tag editor runs on Win 95,98,XP,NT, and Vista
