People who browse the Internet regularly go through a lot sites in one day. Sometimes, you remember a cool site you visited before and want to go back but can’t remember the name. The usual solution would be to go to your history and search for it there. If you can’t remember the name of what you’re looking for, you can either go through your history by using the time ranges (takes longer), or you can use Recall Monkey.

Recall Monkey is a Firefox Add-on that lets you search your Firefox history like you were using a search engine. Your search results are ranked based on how closely your query matches sites in your history. The add-on is still in its experimental stage so it may still have some bugs. No need to worry though since it was developed by Mozilla Labs.

Everybody has bookmarked sites. In fact, it’s a safe bet to say that most people who browse the web regularly have hundreds if not thousands of sites bookmarked in their favorite browser. Sure, having bookmarks is great – you can browse those sites later while you continue to surf.

The problem arises when you have too much bookmarks. Which ones are still online? Which ones are dead links? Trying to find a specific favorite amidst hundreds of saved sites is not a walk in the park. So what can you do to clean up and organize your bookmarks into an easy to access collection?

Incredible Bookmarks is a Firefox addon that will let you browse through your bookmarks by using search terms or by folder. The addon gives you the option of hiding the original bookmark toolbar and display your own color-coded toolbars.

The extension lets you run a check to find duplicate bookmarks in each toolbar and finds which links are no longer available.

QuickNote: Take Notes In Firefox

QuickNote is a Firefox addon that lets you take notes and save them for later viewing. The addon lets you choose whether you want QuickNote displayed in the browser sidebar, a floating window, or in its own tab.

Configuration options include selecting font size and style, choosing where to save your notes as text files, autosave note on nth character, etc.

Most Firefox users regularly search for new extensions to add to their favorite web browser. This next one is a must-have for anyone looking for a quality Firefox extension.

New Tab King will make your blank tab or new tab display a list of your most visited sites along with your recently bookmarked sites. Recently closed tabs are listed along with your most used desktop applications. Each listed site comes with a description and its favicon.

Want to delete a certain site on the list? No problem, just click on the “x” button at the right side of the site name. A list of suggested sites based on your browsing history is displayed on the right side of the tab. A Google search box is included that lets you search your bookmarks or history.

Fotofox: Firefox Addon For Image Uploading

Happy Firefox users would tell you that they’d love to be able to do everything from within Firefox. With the sheer amount of plugins available, it certainly is possible. Let’s talk about images or, rather, image uploading right from your browser.

Fotofox is a Firefox addon that lets you upload images to online photo services such as Flickr, Zooomr, SmugMug, Tabblo, 23hq, Kodak EasyShare Gallery, and Marela.

You can tag and add titles to individual images or in batches. Aside from letting you switch between different online photo services, Fotofox also allows you to set privacy settings for your images individually or in batches.

One thing to note, is that Fotofox is basically the same as the Kodak EasyShare Companion extension so it’s important that you only have Fotofox or the Kodak extension installed. You can’t have them both.

Fotofox runs on Windows XP/Vista, Mac OS X (PPC/Intel), or Linux(i386)
